Mobile broadcast services focus on mobile phones being different from stationary TVs. This will have an impact on content, formats and services. Services are provided to be consumed mainly on the go with other peak times, shorter usage time and influenced by the surroundings. Users may not accept advertisement in the recent formats.
The focus of this work item is to consider the specifics of mobile broadcast services from plain mobile TV up to sophisticated interactive and download applications.
In 2010, the work item will be active on a case-by-case basis.
The work item is chaired by Jürg Bachmann, Goldbach Media.
