Broadcast network structure and coverage expectations

One of the key success factors as well as one of most cost sensitive aspects of mobile broadcast services is mobile indoor reception. During pilot programs broadcast network operators will gain experience on the number of transmitters and repeaters, the parameter settings, antenna gain of terminals etc.

This work item seeked to 

• Analyze the influence of broadcast network structure and parameters on coverage expectations
• Exchange experiences from national trials and other testbeds as well as from simulations

After having analyzed and published most of the aspects, the group activities were terminated by the end of 2009.
